On Sunday, the Club organised a Festival of Women and Girls cricket with teams from Bentley, Great Waltham, Old Chelmsfordians and two from Rayleigh taking part in an eight a side competition. On Sunday the Under13A team played in a South Essex District semi-final against Basildon Under 13s and batting first scored 101. Basildon were 89-7 at the end of the 17th over when a very heavy downpour caused the teams to leave the field. The teams were unable to agree on a resumption of the game

President\’s Day saw six 6-a-side teams from the Club competing in a Charity event, which raised £525 for Fair Havens Hospices. Unsurprisingly the 1st XI team ran out winners but there were some excellent games and several very heavy showers didn\’t spoil a most enjoyable afternoon.
