At last the sun shone and some higher scores were recorded with wins for the Saturday 2nd, 3rd and 4th XIs.
The 1st XI hosted High Roding 1st XI who batted first and scored 248-6. In reply Rayleigh scored 209-9 losing by 39 runs.
The 2nd XI travelled to Rainham 1st XI who batted first and were bowled out for 129, Adam Dudmish taking 4-22 and Mike Law 2-26. James Ellis (53) and Adam Keeley (43*) top scored as the 2nd XI passed their target for the loss of 2 wickets.
The 3rd XI entertained Rettendon 2nd XI and amassed 345-7, Luke Hedges (130), Kalpesh Patel (56), Alex Jones (49*) and Darren Smith (49) leading the scoring. They then bowled out the visitors for 126 to win by 219 runs.
The 4th XI went to East Hanningfield & Burstead 2nd XI and batting first scored 201-8, Richard Verrinder (57) and John Wright (39*). In reply the hosts fell short by 20 runs, Josh Jones taking 4-30.
The 5th XI were away at top of the table Wickham 1st and batting first scored 201-7, Steven Lynch (39) and Matt Walker (37). The hosts passed this score for the loss of 2 wickets.
The 6th XI hosted Bentley 4th XI who totalled 234-6 with their captain scoring 101. This total always looked too much for the 6th XI and they finished on 154-7, Tony Catling scoring 44.
A seriously depleted 7th XI with several players playing their first open Age game played Belhus 5th XI in a friendly. Belhus scored 239 and Rayleigh 99, Steve Rothon top scoring with 44.
The Midweek XI played Leigh in the final of the Southend Evening League Cup in a 15 x 8 ball over match. Leigh batted first and scored 128-9, Sam Verrinder taking 4-30. Rayleigh passed this score in 11.1 overs, Nick Gosling scoring 62 not out, Jon Cook 28 and Jason Ox 20.
The Women & Girls XI were due to play Kelvedon and Feering but the opposition were unable to field a side. A win next Friday against Great Waltham at Rawreth Lane would mean they reach the semi-final of the Beaumont Seymour League for the first time
The Under 15As played Southend Echo Monarchs (SOSEMT) Under 15s and batting first scored 108-6, Josh Jones 34 and Tom Child 27. In a close finish SOSEMT fell 3 runs short scoring 105-8, Conor Slough and Matt Dobson both taking 2-19.
 
The Under 15Bs played Leigh-on-Sea U15B and batting first scored 116 for 4 (Henry Hands 37*, Craig Smith 28) in their 20 overs. Leigh passed this score for the loss of 6 wickets, Liam Harrold taking 3-12.
The Under 13s played against Rankins Under 13s and scored 99, which score the visitors passed for the loss of 7 wickets
The Under 11As played against Rankins Under 11s, who batted first and scored 288 – 4 net score 268. Rayleigh scored 289 – 3, net score 274. Rayleigh won by 6 runs.
