We are pleased to confirm the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Rayleigh Cricket Club will take place on Tuesday 13th January 2026 at 7:30pm. All members are encouraged to attend. The decisions made at the meeting will shape the running of the Club for the year ahead. Do not miss your chance to participate.
Resolutions, Nominations & Constitutional Changes
In line with the Club Constitution, any items for consideration at the AGM – such as proposed resolutions, amendments to the constitution, or nominations for officials and team captains – must be made in writing to the Club Secretary by Tuesday 16th December 2025.
Important Notice: Captain Nominations
In a change from previous years, members wishing to be nominated for a captaincy role should first speak with the Club Chairman before submitting their nomination. Please email chairman@rayleighcc.com in the first instance before a nomination is made.
The club’s preference is that all submissions are made via email to secretary@rayleighcc.com, clearly stating the name of the proposer and seconder. No other forms of electronic submission will be accepted.
Pre-AGM Notice
To give members the opportunity to review and vote on nominations, resolutions and other matters, a full AGM notice will be issued no later than two weeks prior to the meeting by Tuesday 23rd December 2025.
This notice will include all proposed resolutions, nominations for official positions, team captaincy nominations, and any other items for discussion. Amendments to existing resolutions (but not new resolutions) may be submitted at any time prior to the vote, provided they are seconded.
Attendance & Voting
All Club Members are encouraged to attend. Elections for all Club officials and team captains will take place during the meeting. The decisions made will shape the running of the Club for the year ahead – your participation and input is important.
Please note the following extract from Rule 4.2 of the Club Constitution:
The Club shall have the following membership categories on a non-discriminatory and fair basis:
Life Member, Adult Playing Member (19–23, 24–66, 67 & over), Young Member (15–18), Ladies Playing Member, Colt Playing Member (under 15), Associate Member and Vice-President.
The Club aims to keep subscription levels affordable to encourage participation. Any female member wishing to play regularly in Men’s or Colts cricket shall be regarded as an Adult or Colt Playing Member as appropriate.
Colt Playing Members are not entitled to vote at any General Meeting.
We look forward to seeing a good representation of Club Members at the AGM on Tuesday 13th January 2026.
Yours sincerely,
Samantha Mayfield
