Our team captains are responsible for leading their sides on matchdays. They manage the players on the pitch and make sure games are played in the right spirit, representing Rayleigh CC across all our Saturday, Sunday, Midweek, and Women’s teams.
MatchDay Management
Captains handle the on-field decisions, batting orders, and bowling changes, making sure everyone gets a fair game.
Selection Committee
All captains sit on the Club’s Selection Committee and help to pick teams each week and keep track of player availability.
Youth Development
A key role is helping our youth players safely and confidently make the step up into adult league cricket.
Upholding Standards
Captains make sure their teams follow the Club’s code of conduct and show respect to the umpires and the opposition.
