You are invited to an Introduction to Umpiring evening that is being run by Angela Tuff who is the Umpire Development Officer at Essex.
It is going to be run at the Hadleigh & Thundersley pavilion on Monday 16th October starting at 7pm.
The course will cover:
- Positioning at striker’s end and bowler’s end
- Wide Balls
- No Balls – Front Foot, non-pitching above waist height and pitching over head-height
- Methods of dismissal – bowled, stumped, run out, caught, hit wicket
- Signalling – 6, 4, out, no ball, wide, leg bye, bye
All are welcome including parents and players both young and older.
