One win and two defeats for the Saturday sides on another rain affected afternoon. Another good win for the Women & Girls XI.
T Rippon Mid Essex League Division 1. The 1st XI entertained Great Totham 1st XI and batting first totalled 177 without loss before the rain came to end the match. Ben Francis (107*) and Adam Keeley (50*) made the runs.
T Rippon Mid Essex League Division 3. The 2nd XI travelled to Noak Hill 1st XI and batting first were 141-6 from 30 overs after rain affected the match, Steven Lynch (55*) top scoring. The home side passed this score for the loss of 4 wickets to leave the 2nd XI bottom of the Division.
T Rippon Mid Essex League Division 5. The 3rd XI fixture visited Great Totham 2nd XI and batting first scored 220-7, Alex Jones (67) and Luke Keeley(45) leading the scoring. The visitors were bowled out for 145, Adam Vyse taking 5-42.
T Rippon Mid Essex League Division 8. The 4th XI hosted Noak Hill 2nd XI who batted first and scored 232-7. The Rayleigh reply was cut short by the rain with the home side on 11-3.
T Rippon Mid Essex League Division 11. St Andrews were the visitors to the 5th XI and batting first scored 151-3 before the game was ended by rain.
T Rippon Mid Essex League Division 12. The 6th XI travelled to Grays to play Thurrock 4th XI. Asked to bat first the 6th XI scored 86-7 in an innings twice interrupted by rain. Three wickets fell in the first two overs of the home side\’s innings but despite some excellent tight bowling by Louise Harmswoth, Paul Cox and Phil Hammond, Thurrock slowly batted their way to victory with less than 4 overs to spare.
Beaumont Seymour League South Division. The Women & Girls XI visited Woodham Mortimer and batting first scored 80-5, Rebecca Holyoak (26*) and Kelly Castle (20) top scoring. THe home side were restricted to 65-4 in their 20 overs to give Rayleigh victory by 15 runs.
