The sun shone again but only the Saturday 3rd and 6th XIs won and the 2nd XI tied their game. The Women & Girls XI reach the semi-final of their league.
The 1st XI hosted Springfield 1st XI who batted first and scored 242-9, Jon Cook taking 4-42 and Keith Sharp 3-61. In reply Rayleigh collapsed to all out total of 81.
The 2nd XI travelled to Southend Echo Monarchs (SOSEMT) 1st XI who batted first and scored 187-7, Adam Keeley taking 3-16. A run out off the last ball left the 2nd XI tied on 187, Chris Eldridge (72) top scoring.
The 3rd XI entertained Danbury and in high scoring game totalled 311-4, Steve Adams (150*) and Craig Baird (50) leading the scoring. The visitors lost only two wickets in the run chase but fell short by 22 runs.
The 4th XI went to an Old Chelmsfordians 3rd XI strengthened by students returning from university and batting first were bowled out for 133, Richard Verrinder (52). OCs passed this total for the loss of 1 wicket.
The 5th XI were away at Great Baddow 3rd XI and batting first scored 103, which score the hosts passed for the loss of 2 wickets.
The 6th XI hosted Old Chelmsfordians 4th XI who at 80-1 after 20 overs looked set for a big score. The reintroduction of Max Jones (6-16) brought about a collapse to an all out total of 149. A similar fate looked in store for Rayleigh as they went from 75-1 to 76-5 in the space of 3 overs but an unbeaten 6th wicket partnership between Phil Hammond (39*) and Phil Wolff (17*) saw the home side home by 5 wickets.
The 7th XI played Westcliff 4th XI in a friendly timed game. Westcliff scored 230-5. In reply Rayleigh batted out for a draw scoring 161-8, Jack Himpfen-Jones (37) and Rob Godfrey (34) top scoring.
The Women & Girls XI entertained Great Waltham at Rawreth Lane and bowled the visitors out for 45, Kelly Castle taking 3 wickets and Jodie Billett, Louise Harmsworth and Rebecca Holyoak 2 each. Rayleigh passed this total for the loss of 2 wickets, Kelly Castle retiring on 26*. This result means they have reached the semi-final of the Beaumont Seymour League for the first time.
 
The Under 15Bs played Southend Echo Monarchs (SOSEMT) U15B who batted first and scored 87-8, Liam Harrold taking 2-18 and Owen Brooks 2-19. Rayleigh passed this score for the loss of 4 wickets, Craig Smith (36*) and Henry Hands (23*)
The Under 11As played against Benflett Under 11s, who batted first and scored 302-6 net score 271. Rayleigh scored 309-5, net score 284. Rayleigh won by 13 runs.
