The 1st XI entertained Rettendon 1st XI, who batting first were bowled out for 123, Ian Bryant taking 4-24. In reply at 49-5, it looked as though Rayleigh might lose a low scoring game but Jon Cook (63*) came to the rescue to see the home side home by 5 wickets.

The visitors also started slowly against some tight bowling by Tom Godfrey amd Josh Jones (both 1-20 of 8 overs). Marlon Hayes (41) looked a potential match winner until bowled by a ball from Josh which kept very low and an excellent spell of bowling from Conor Slough (5-25) left Wenlock 25 runs short.
On Friday evening the Women & Girls XI travelled to Woodham Mortimer and were well beaten.
All Sunday games were washed out.
