The 1st XI travelled to Great Waltham 1st XI and batting first totalled 290-7, Jon Cook (83), Marcus Cornish (56) and Jason Ox (46) leading the scoring. In reply the home side scored 230-5.
The 2nd XI entertained Terling 1st XI who batted first and were bowled out for 97, Trevor Nunn taking 3-37. Rayleigh passed this score for the loss of 4 wickets, Steve Adams (38) top scoring.
The 3rd XI were at home to Bentley 3rd XI and batting first scored 202-6, Willie Leadbeater (62), Kalpesh Patel (59) and Alex Jones (28) being the main contributors. At 108-9 Bentley looked well beaten but a hard hitting last wicket stand took the visitors towards a nail biting finish. However the last wicket fell with the visitors 18 runs short of a remarkable recovery. John Stirk (4-35) and Adam Dudmish (3-36) were the pick of the bowlers.
The 4th XI were away at Rayleigh Fairview 3rd XI, who batted first and scored 152 all out in their innings, Aaron Acraman taking 3-29. Rayleigh scored 153-6 in reply, John Wright (38) top scoring.
The 5th XI played Wickham 2nd XI at Chelmsford. The home side batted first and scored 184 all out, Neville Dunn taking 4-36 and Andy James 3-17. Rayleigh were 174-8 in their 45 overs Nick Buckley (46), Taha Khan (33) and John Attfield (30) being the main contributors.
