Women’s cricket has a long history at Rayleigh CC, with professional Kelly Castle playing cricket for the club before going on to sign a contract with Essex CCC.
Our women’s section started with a handful of players and has quickly developed into a vibrant part of the club and we’re looking to expand for the 2026 season.
Whether you’ve played before or are completely new to the game, Rayleigh CC offers a welcoming, supportive, and social environment to learn, improve, and compete.
Sunday cricket is a proud cornerstone of player progression at Rayleigh CC, serving as the vital stepping stone for our talented junior players as they make their transition into senior adult cricket.
Our Sunday XI is firmly focused on youth development. It provides a unique opportunity for young cricketers to play alongside and learn from our experienced senior members, who offer invaluable on-field support, mentorship, and game-management guidance.
Our Vets XI might be one of the newer additions to Rayleigh CC over the last few years, but what started as an excuse to get back out on the pitch has quickly turned into a massive success story. We’ve gone from strength to strength, proving that class is permanent – even if the knees are getting a little bit creaky!
Whether you’re looking to roll back the years, dust off the kit bag, or just enjoy a highly social game with a great bunch of mates, the Vets XI is the perfect place to keep your love for the game alive.
