We’re excited to announce that plans are underway for a proper, old-school Rayleigh Cricket Club tour in 2026 – and we’re now seeking expressions of interest from players and members.
Proposed Dates:
- Week commencing 24th August 2026
- Week commencing 31st August 2026
We’re currently exploring accommodation centrally located to several local clubs who have availability to host matches throughout the week. Expect a traditional cricket tour full of character – tour shirts and baggie caps included.
Format:
We’re currently working on:
- Accommodation: Centrally located in Norfolk, and affordable, close to several welcoming local clubs ready to host fixtures across the week
- Fixtures: A full programme of friendly matches throughout the week
- Merch: All tourists will receive a Rayleigh CC tour shirt and baggie cap
Travel:
We’re looking into hiring a minibus to take players, and spectators, to and from matches during the week.
For the Golfers & Spectators:
In true Rayleigh style, the tour base is likely to feature golf facilities – perfect for those who’d rather enjoy the week as a spectator and play a few rounds.
Food & Evenings:
No Rayleigh tour would be complete without a few good evenings out – we’ll be planning curry nights, pub trips, and some group socials to make the most of it.
Price
We’re still finalising the total cost, but we expect it to be no more than £200 per person. Full details will follow once accommodation and travel are confirmed and we will do our best to ensure the trip is affordable for all members.
