The 1st XI start with a win against Noak Hill in the first friendly match of the season (Sat. 12th April). They scored 214-7 in their 40 overs in an innings which was dominated by Dan Frost with exactly 100. Noak Hill were restricted to 155-9 in reply by some tight bowling with Mike Walsh (2-25), Mike Law (2-23) and Sam Verrinder (3-32) leading the way. This gave Rayleigh a 59 run victory.
